Meet the Poet
Joseph Benson - Kent Wool Manufacturing

Joseph Benson is a material handler at Farm to Feet yarn supplier Kent Wool in Greenville, South Carolina.  They have been spinning yarn since 1843, and while Benson has only been a part of this family business for a fraction of that time he brings his creative spirit and lust for life to the job each and every day.  A self-taught poet, Joseph’s story is just one of many that make up the Farm to Feet supply trail.

Farm to Feet Technical Hike Series

Impact Cushioning and Ventilation Zones

Inspired by one of nature’s most durable structures, our honeycomb-shaped hexagonal reinforcement zones stand up to season after season of hard use. Targeted cushioning offers extra protection in the heel, ball, and top of the foot, while multiple ventilation channels facilitate effective air flow and fast drying.

Seamless Toe Closure

Advanced knitting techniques create a totally flat seam in the toe box, reducing bulk and eliminating friction. The result is a better, more comfortable fit that reduces blisters and other abrasion injuries, all without adding unnecessary volume

Comfort Compression Using LYCRA® Fiber

Featured throughout the Farm to Feet line, our comfort compression technology now utilizes the industry-leading elastic LYCRA® Fiber for added support from the top of the sock through the arch. Comfort compression creates a precise, high-performance fit that minimizes foot fatigue throughout the day.

100% AMERICAN SUPPLY CHAIN

Farm to Feet is committed to the single, simple goal of creating the world’s best wool socks by exclusively using an all-American recipe: US Materials, US Manufacturing, and US Workers.

What Does It Mean to Have 100% American Ingredients?

To produce a 100% American made product requires more than just being “Made in the USA.” To be 100% American means a supply chain with raw materials sourced entirely from within the United States. Farm to Feet™ socks are made with U.S. Wool, U.S. Nylon, & U.S. Spandex. In addition, the paperboard and inks in our packaging are also produced in the United States of America.

100% American Merino Wool

Wool is a resilient fiber that wicks moisture from your skin so you can stay dry and comfortable. A natural temperature regulator, wool helps keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. With its long, silky fibers, merino wool feels soft against your skin, providing itch-free comfort. All Farm to Feet™ socks are made using U.S. grown merino wool sourced from American Sheep Industry ranchers

100% American Nylon & Spandex

Nylon and Spandex are also critical components of a great pair of performance socks. Nylon is important for providing structure, durability, and reinforcing high impact areas like the heel and toe. In addition, nylon allows for the addition of stylish colors, designs, and logos. Spandex is essential for providing stretch and ensuring the perfect fit from the welt through the toe. All the nylon and spandex used in Farm to Feet™ socks is produced in the United States.
